Felt lump for ~year, asked doctor 6 months ago to feel it and doctor said nothing concerning. Went back to doctor this week, sent for mammogram and ultrasound which found 2 masses in my right breast, lymph node in right armpit, all 3 need biopsy. ~3 week wait for biopsy with practice associated with my primary care, should i try to go elsewhere? Bummed I waited so long to get mammogram. Radiologist did the ultrasound herself. I'm 38

Result:

There is an underlying focal asymmetry with architectural distortion in the upper outer breast at posterior depth, which persists on additional spot compression views and was further evaluated with ultrasound. No suspicious findings are identified elsewhere within the breasts.

Targeted ultrasound of the right breast was performed by both the technologist and radiologist. In the area of palpable concern, at 9-10 o'clock, 6 cm from the nipple, there is a 2.0 x 1.1 x 1.8 cm irregular hypoechoic mass, corresponding to the mammographic focal asymmetry with architectural distortion. At 9-10 o'clock, 3 cm from the nipple, there is an additional 1.4 x 1.2 x 1.3 cm irregular hypoechoic mass. These masses are approximately 0.8 cm apart.

In the right axilla, there is a 1.2 x 0.5 x 1.1 cm axillary lymph node with slightly eccentric borderline cortical thickening, measuring 2.8 mm.

Left breast: An asymmetry in the central breast at posterior depth on CC view appears relatively pliable on additional spot compression view, without discrete mass or architectural distortion, although does not completely resolve. This area was further evaluated with ultrasound. No dominant masses, suspicious microcalcifications or unexplained regions of architectural distortion are demonstrated.
