I’ve noticed that a lot of conversations seem open on the surface, but in practice people tend to:
- form an opinion pretty quickly
- look for things that support it
- and brush past anything that doesn’t
I’m interested in whether that’s actually true, or if I’m overlooking something.
If you feel like you do challenge your own thinking:
What does that actually look like in practice?
How do you tell the difference between genuinely rethinking something vs just reinforcing your initial perspective?
I’m especially interested in how people actively challenge their own thinking—not just the conclusions they end up with.
Open to having my view changed.
