Our local Padel scene is stagnant. What formats do you play? Let’s build a "Tournament Master List"!
Is it just me, or are some regions totally sleeping on the Padel boom?
In my city, we have 10+ indoor clubs, hundreds of hungry players, yet we only see 2 or 3 real tournaments a year. We have the occasional "Americano" or "Up & Down" night, and the official Federation league is so slow you only play once a month. It’s frustrating!
I used to play in France, where clubs ran 3–4 official tournaments a month across all skill levels. They were crowded, competitive, and the atmosphere was electric. (A bit expensive to be fair)
I’m looking for different types of meets, tournament structures, or league formats used in your country or region. I will compile everything into a Master List below in the edit section so we can all bring these ideas to our local club owners.
What are you playing?
The Format: (e.g., King of the Court, Team Leagues, Marathons, Qualy-final draft Tournaments)
The Frequency: (Weekly? Monthly? One-off?)
The "Hook": What makes it fun or competitive? (Rankings, prizes, social mixers?)
Let’s help each other grow the sport! 👇
Edits: Master List:
Americano night
Americano league: Ranking with several Americano nights through the year
Mexicano: americano's variant
Round Robin
Ladder league
Ranked Championships: by skill/ranking and men/women/mix. Amateur or ranked. With local ranking
Marathon 8-12h: with some of the above meets included
Some apps exist to create this kind of tournaments within the community or closer group of friends. Check comments!
