I have a new commute into downtown from Newton. The red lights are just atrocious for my efficiency. I basically just did intervals for 15 minutes to get through the Coolidge Corner area. For those of you going through this area or have a similar road you ride down daily: are you just sucking it up and accepting the time suck every time you hit a red? Or is there an alternative here I'm missing? I know sidewalks are legal in Mass outside of commercial areas, Idaho stop isn't technically legal.... Even if you aren't on Beacon, what do people in this sub do about the poorly timed red lights while cycling in Boston?
