Bakureze is out! And so here's a 6th art piece to commemorate it.

Did the episode do every little thing I hoped it would? Unfortunately not, and I won't act like I wasn't disappointed for a good part of the day. But after sitting and ruminating on it a bit, and giving myself time to be distracted with a Smash Bracket binge alongside my little sister and girlfriend, I think I can confidently say I came out of the episode enjoying it!

Like, right below IchigoYusuke and right above CellMetal right now.

So now we sit in the afterparty, our fighters thoroughly beaten to shit. Rest assured, I got plans right now and they may or may not include a certain supervillain matchup pretty soon.

The last time I did multiple pieces for a DB I ended up regretting it deeply, and I told myself at that point that I wouldn't go all in on an episode like that.

That said I've been excited for Bakugou vs Reze since before we were even aware it was gonna happen, talking to close friends about the idea and seeing the way it exploded (HAH) last year was a fun highlight in a rough year. Seeing it get announced was awesome as hell, and I've been having a lot of fun getting more and more into the idea whether it be by looking into it myself, seeing other fans discussing it, talking with friends, or watching Chainsaw Man with my girlfriend (First time watching for both of us, but I had read the manga way prior).

I rediscovered my love of Chainsaw Man in spite of its eccentricities, along with realizing that Reze is cool, and while it's been awhile and I have my mixed feelings I still hold MHA somewhat close. With Bakugou being a pretty big highlight.

And while this wait period has been intent on avoiding the match, I didn't wanna leave things hanging at the finish line. Counting the pic I drew the day after CellMetal, I've drawn 5 total Bakureze pics.

To the fans of BakuReze who haven't really been able to talk about it much, or see much love for it, or whatever the fuck. This one goes out to ya'll goats. Let's get fuckin' hype for tomorrow.

edit: Also I call the match "Bombing Run" as a play on the phrase bombing run usually used in war, but also as a play on the iconic MHA track, "You Say Run"
