We received a call from our solicitors this mortgage granting them permission to exchange which we agreed to.

She told me on the phone that we should exchange by 2pm at the latest.

She emailed at 5pm to say that exchange today could no longer go ahead and they will try tomorrow. She did say that they have already requested the funds from the lender and the completion date hasn’t changed but I find it strange that we haven’t exchanged.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be?
