On December 26, 2025, we stepped through Colonel Francis Beatty Park in Matthews, NC and picked up litter as we went. The park covers more than 260 acres and includes a large lake, wooded trails, and open green space. It is part of Mecklenburg County’s park system and provides paths for walking and access to natural areas around the water.

Barnet Park is a downtown public park that includes open green space, walking paths, and a central plaza with interactive fountains. On November 24, 2025, we stepped around Rose Lake in Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, OH and picked up litter as we went. Rose Lake is a small scenic lake within the park, surrounded by wooded trails and natural areas. Hocking Hills State Park is known for its forested landscape, rock formations, and hiking paths that attract visitors throughout the year.

On November 24, 2025, we stepped along the Gorge Trail at Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, OH and picked up litter as we went. Hocking Hills State Park is a 2,356-acre park in southeastern Ohio known for its deep gorges, towering sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, and scenic forested trails. The Gorge Trail follows Queer Creek through shaded woodlands and rock formations, connecting key scenic areas such as waterfalls and overlooks within the park.

Downtown Columbus sits along the Scioto River and serves as the civic and business center of Ohio’s capital city. The area includes riverfront parks, pedestrian paths, bridges, and public spaces that connect neighborhoods on both sides of the river.

On November 23, 2025, we stepped around Alum Creek Dam in Lewis Center, OH and picked up litter as we went. Alum Creek Dam was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the early 1970s for flood control and water management. It impounds Alum Creek Reservoir, which supplies water, recreation, and downstream flow regulation for central Ohio.

On November 23, 2025, we stepped along the beach at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, OH and picked up litter as we went. Alum Creek State Park covers about 4,630 acres and surrounds the 3,387-acre Alum Creek Reservoir, offering one of Ohio’s largest inland sandy beaches at roughly 3,000 feet long. The park also includes hiking and multi-purpose trails, boating and fishing access, picnic areas, campgrounds, and shoreline boardwalks and paths.
