Hey everyone,

Our agency has recently been getting a lot of requests from businesses wanting us to set up OpenClaw as a managed service for customer support and inquiries.

As we’re starting to think through the architecture, we’re trying to validate what’s actually feasible at a production level.

Specifically, we’re wondering:

Would it be possible to deploy OpenClaw agents on a VPS (like Oracle Cloud free tier instances) and have them reliably connected to iMessage and WhatsApp (non-Business API), running 24/7 for customer support?

Important context:

  • We would NOT be deploying on dedicated Mac Minis for each client
  • The goal is to run everything from cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud / VPS)
  • Needs to be always-on and stable enough for real business use

We’re trying to understand limitations around:

  • iMessage connectivity without macOS hardware
  • WhatsApp reliability without the official Business API
  • Long-term stability 
  • Scaling this across multiple client deployments

If anyone has experience running something like this in production (or has tried and hit walls), we’d really appreciate your insights 🙏
