I remember the panthers name was midnight, and the boom cover had two yellow cats eyes surrounded by ferns

And at one point in the book, the panther ate some chickens at one of the boys houses and then peered into the boys window, and they noticed that the tracks lead away from his window.

Me and my girlfriend have been trying to find it for ages, we both remember it but we grew up ages away from eachother but it was in both our primary schools library’s. I left primary school in 2011 and she left 2015.
