FS: Contax III kit in used condition, some cosmetic wear, could use CLA. No lowballs, I know what I got.

One previous owner (the Kriegsmarine) so you know it's been well looked after! Carefully stored 70m underwater so n you know there'll be no smudgy fingerprints, scratches or lens fungus. Includes original manual, several lenses and I'll throw in some slightly expired film too.

EDIT: jeez, what a weirdly hostile response to a technical question! I'm not an idiot. I know what a slightly misfocused image looks like but I've never seen this kind of motion blur-looking character in slightly out of focus areas before.

I'm not a mega pixel-peeper but so far this isn't the image quality monster I was expecting, just wondering if I've got a bad copy or just need to adjust my expectations?

I knew it wouldn't be as insane as my Sony A1 with the 35mm GM, but I wanted something more inspiring for everyday carry. I love using it but then I get home and the images are often kinda underwhelming with a fairly low keeper rate.

When it's in focus it's not bad but I'm noticing the slightly out of focus/transition areas have this weird motion blur thing going on where it looks like the bokeh is suffering with camera shake, even at very high shutter speeds with a static subject.

I took a few pics today of this guy and every one had the same blurriness. The bottom of the photo, the jeans, look very sharp but the face is blurry like he's moving. But it's 1/10000 e-shutter and he was pretty still. I've noticed this wobbly blur in a bunch of other images too since I got it.

So Q owners...is this a characteristic of the lens or have I got a bad copy? It's slightly decentered top to bottom but not enough to justify sending it back. I'm wondering if this is just how that lens is supposed to look, or is maybe the floating element is dodgy or something. The OIS is on auto. I think the inconsistent AF isn't helping.

(I don't generally think that pixel peeping is a huge deal and a flawed lens can make better art than a perfect one...but for the price of these things I just expected top tier image quality!)
