Zone 9b, central California.

I'm having leaves turning brown and not sure what it means for the rest of the tree. For context the tree is 2 years in the ground and last year I deep watered with a hose when I could and this year I put on drip, I have sandy soil. Our weather this spring has been back and forth with rain/ cold and heat but now the heat is really starting.
