I finished Dawntrail.

Final edit: ok so I am stupid and didn't want to accuse anyone of being transphobic. When Dawntrail came out I saw a vocal minority be super transphobic towards the VA and using a character with flaws as a reason to spread hatred, and thus ruin any discourse. I won't forget how the name Woke Lamat was being used.

I can see people have mixed feeling about the character, and while I don't agree with your opinion it is still relevant. Sorry for being bad at wording my opinion in the heat of the moment.

I have been playing this game since Shadowbringer, and have only recently come back. So sorry for being un informed about the re recorded voice lines.

I will not be engaging with this post anymore.

Edit 6: Im stupid and am bad at words.

Edit 5: read the edits

The levels hate this game got at launch is insane to me. At worst it's a 7/10 with a lot of similar issues to Stormblood.

Also Wuk Lamat is a fine and charming character. I am so convinced most of the hate the character got was cause of her VA being trans, which was deeply disappointing to see the community act so vile. Was extra disheartening as a Trans woman myself.

Also ya I know it's a year late to add to this discussion, but finally finished it and wanted to say it. I wish I didn't burn myself out leveling Viper before starting, and letting the negative vibes get to me.

Edit: 2 years late. The passage of time sucks.

Edit 2: Most of the discourse i saw around the VA on launch was about a bunch of transphobes being absolute terror's towards her. I also learned many lines in the expansion for several characters where re recorded later. That is going to cause a divide on perception.

Edit 3: your not a Transphobe for disliking the character.

Edit 4: Honestly this went as well as I thought.
