Help converting sweater to husband and kids
hello!
so i consider myself an adequate knitter, have a lot of smaller project under the belt, understand what im doing usually. Sweater construction adequate, colourwork is improving.
i got myself 30 skeins of merino (10 each colour) and i want to make my husband and kids (1 and 3) matching sweaters, Scandinavian style. i would rotate the colours. cute idea right! Will make the kids sweaters larger because obviously they grow like cabbages and summer is around the corner.
now to pick a pattern. I couldnt find any i liked which is ‘family friendly’, so I thought to adapt a pattern I do like.
does anyone have any tips or do/dont?
i realised i cant pick a deep colourwork yoke for converting it to kids, and for husband I pick the size with the best bust+yoke depth and then just lengthen as needed for the body and sleeves?
right now I am thinking of one of these patterns, but recommendations are welcome too!

any help is welcome! Where I live there arent many knitters that do more than scarves.
