Hi everyone,
I’m visiting Paris for the first time and would love some advice on how to make the most of a short trip. I’ll be arriving early on May 16th and leaving the evening of May 17th, and I’ll be staying near Cité Universitaire.
I’m a big foodie, but I have a jiu-jitsu competition on the 17th, so I need to be careful about what I eat—nothing too heavy, greasy, or overly rich. That said, I do have a serious sweet tooth, so I’d love recommendations for amazing pastries, bakeries, or lighter bites that still feel like a must-try Paris experience.
Since it’s my first time, I’d also love suggestions for sightseeing that aren’t too intense—scenic walks, beautiful neighborhoods, or iconic spots I can see without spending hours in lines. Ideally, I’d love areas where I can combine good food with exploring so I can make the most of the limited time without overdoing it before my competition.
If you had about a day in Paris under these conditions, what would you prioritize? Any specific cafés, boulangeries, or routes near Cité Universitaire (or easy to reach from there) would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance!
