Hey! I'm looking to get into aos and Ossiarch Bonereapers soon, but I had a question about the mortek guard.

I really like their look apart from their spears, I think they look a little thick. For general model building, I have read that it is possible to replace thick spear shafts with brass rods, but have not seen anyone do it for OBR. I was planning on using 0.8mm rods in that case.

Has anyone tried that? Or do you think it is possible? I'm unsure how their hand grips the spear.

(I guess it can also be due to GW painting the shafts in a bright colour, in some armies with a darker scheme they appear slightly thinner)
