Any hope in fixing my top load washer?
I have an older Whirlpool WTW4800XQ4 where I thought the suspensions were the reason for the banging (they were bad) but while replacing them I realized the inner tub was not study either. In my infinite wisdom (I learn repairs from videos) I tried a couple of loads and while I didn’t hear anything, I found that the tub completely broke off and now the tub is sunk sitting on the outer tub, and the center is stuck.
How can I remove the center piece of the tub from the shaft so I can get the inner tub completely out… or is it a lost cause?
