How to get Telus to give me a good contract

Hi, I'm in BC here. I have to change up my Telus account. It's absurd. I phoned them months ago and they said I had a deal until May, but it was a bogus "special" where they made it seem like they had given me a deal until May, but only some of their services were on special until then.

Years ago, I got a "free" fiber upgrade/install, that came with a security system. The system is shit, and I don't even want it anymore, and the last two times I told them I didn't want it, they told me they couldn't give me any package deal without it, and they got me onto a better deal but it always reverts back to the shit deal where I'm paying about $150 to $175 month just for phone and fiber internet. No cell plan with them. And, one time they didn't even tell me that my voicemail was cancelled.

My email account is a telus email account, although they shifted it to gmail years ago. So, now I don't know how to keep my email addresses or the account if I switch internet providers.

It seems like the CRTC that used to, be more on our side, is letting the corporate slobs run amok, and extort our money from us.

It seems like I could phone up and ask for their loyalty dept. and ask what can they do for me, but I might have to just threaten to go with another provider who can offer a decent contract. Here, it's more or less like Coke or Pepsi. Rogers or Telus. I think Rogers amalgamated with Shaw, too?

Anwyay, **&$&$& )#(*#!!!! What the hell do I do? I don't want to spend a whole day on the phone either!

I'm sure a lot of Canadians are going to be hitting real rough times, real soon. I can't believe this shit. The other day, I ran into a friend and offered to buy him coffee, so we sat in a cafe, and I ordered a bowl of soup which came with a bun (he wasn't hungry) and I had a cup of coffee and bought one for him. The bill came to $25 after taxes and tip!! It's just nuts. F around. I couldn't believe it. Every time I go out, it seems, things are more and more expensive. This was a casual, non-fancy place that I used to consider a bargain.

It can't continue without some major, major repercussions.
