Hi everyone! 👋 I'm hoping to hear from others who may have been in a similar situation with their H4 EAD application.

Here's my timeline:

📅 March 3, 2026 – Attorney filed my husband's H1-B extension bundled with my H4 and H4 EAD under Premium Processing.

📅 March 8, 2026 – Husband received his H1-B receipt number (IOE series).

📅 March 12, 2026 – Husband's H1-B extension approved! ✅

📅 March 16, 2026 – Received H4 approval notice + H4 EAD receipt notice in the mail. H4 approved! ✅

Still waiting on my H4 EAD (Form I-765) decision. 🕐

When I checked my case status online, it shows:

"Case Transferred and New Office Has Jurisdiction" – dated March 7, 2026.

Here's what makes this even more interesting — while my husband's H1-B followed the IOE series, both my H4 and H4 EAD are SRC series (Texas Service Center) with consecutive receipt numbers, like so:

🔹 SRC2690XXXXXX – My H4 EAD (I-765) → Still pending ⏳

🔹 SRC2690XXXXXX+1 – My H4 → Approved March 12 ✅

I called USCIS yesterday and they confirmed my EAD was temporarily transferred to the Nebraska Service Center, and that processing times remain the same regardless of the transfer.

What's really puzzling me 🤔 — I checked the case statuses of neighboring receipt numbers (tweaking the last 3 digits of my EAD receipt number), and found that:

✅ 7 cases BEFORE my receipt number have already received a decision.

✅ 8 cases AFTER my receipt number have already received a decision.

❓ My receipt number appears to be the only outlier in that entire range still awaiting a decision.

So the very next case — my own H4 — is approved, cases all around mine are approved, but my EAD is just sitting there after a transfer. 😔

Has anyone else experienced something like this — especially a case transfer from Texas to Nebraska for their H4 EAD? If so:

➡️ How long did it take to get a decision after the transfer?

➡️ Did the case transfer cause any unusual delays for you?

➡️ Did you receive the transfer notice before or after your approval?

Any experiences or insights would be hugely appreciated! 🙏 TIA!
