Hi! I’ve been taking lessons at this barn for 1.5 years and when I first started riding her, I was able to brush her. Now, though, she doesn’t let me and tries to bite me. She didn’t even like me touching the top of her back with my hand. I tried to use a soft brush as well. I mentioned this to my trainer and she said she is just sensitive. I wonder if she is in pain? Or if she just had a bad experience with someone brushing her? She recently had a mild case of colic that was treated, but she was doing this long before that.
