I'll be in New Mexico in the Gila for a couple days in a few weeks and since its been a while I'd like some feedback and suggestions on what I'm bringing and could either lose or that I'm forgetting.
- 2 pairs of socks (1 worn)
- 2 pairs of underwear (1 worn)
- 1 t-shirt (worn)
- 1 light jacket
- 1 pair of pants (worn)
- 1 pair of hiking boots (worn)
- 1 warm base layer top and bottom
- 4-5 liters of water
- 1 water filter system
- food
- camp stove and fuel depending on what food I bring
- 1 first aid kit with basic medication
- headlamp
- batteries
- beanie
- hat
- small microfiber towel
- wipes
- compass
- map
- multitool
- lighter
- duct tape
- 550 cord
My sleep system will likely be a hammock with top and bottom quilt and Snugpak Jungle Blanket. Lows will probably be in the 30s to 40s and highs in the 60s and 70s.
