Hey folks! Just picked up the 2026 Honda CB350 in matte grey and loving it so far. Now I want to get the basics sorted before I start putting real miles on it, starting with a crash guard.
Narrowed it down to two options based on what people around me have suggested:
Option 1 - Zana crash guard with sliders A few people recommended this as the sliders are replaceable after a drop. But also heard there is an issue with the welding at joints developing cracks post a fall, and that it is hard to fix after that.
Option 2 - Auto Engina crash guard with skid puck Others swear by this one.
Few things I'm trying to figure out before I go ahead:
- How do they actually compare in terms of impact protection, especially in a real drop or low speed tip-over?
- Sliders vs skid pucks - which one is easier and cheaper to replace after a fall?
- Any fitment or finish issues specific to the matte grey variant?
Would love to hear from anyone who has actually gone down with either of these installed. Real world experience is worth a lot more than spec sheets here.
Also if anyone has opinions on getting this done at a Honda ASS vs an independent workshop (based out of Hyderabad), happy to hear that too!
While I have you all here, also planning to get a few more things sorted on the bike.
Someone suggested the Terrax Brute mount with dampers for the phone mount which sounds solid but open to other options. The stock mirrors are honestly terrible for blind spot visibility so a mirror extender feels like a must at this point. Also considering aux lights, tank pad (side pads are already installed) eventually. If you have done any of these on a CB350 and have strong opinions, drop those in too.
