Picked the most oversaturated market possible for my first app - my learnings

GymMaxx is a workout tracker. Yeah, I know - there are thousands of them.

But I built it anyway. Here's why:

I couldn't find one that just worked the way I wanted. Everything was either bloated with features I'd never use or looked like it was designed in 2014.

So I vibe coded my first ever app. No CS degree, never written a line of Swift in my life.

6 weeks later it's live on the App Store.

Here's what I learned:

- A saturated market means there's demand. That's actually a good thing.

- Vibe coding is real and it works. AI handled what I couldn't.

- Shipping something imperfect beats perfecting something that never ships.

It's not perfect and I'll keep tweaking it.

But it's out there. And people are downloading it.

Happy to answer any questions about the process!
