the irony of living in the same city as the pse&g headquarters right now...
I was just doing my household budget and comparing our old electric bills to right now. My actual usage hasn't change at all but the delivery fees are absolutely destroying me. It feels like im paying ret just for the wires attached to my house.
i saw someone mention earlier this week that with the new bpu rate hikes they just pushed through, our bills are projected to jump another 50% over the next decade just on base fees alone.
like... how is anyone supposed to afford living in newark long term if they just keep compounding the delivery charges every single year? does anyone know if there's actually a way to fight this or do we literally just have to look at their giant building downtown and take it?
