The Bible is a collection of Stories - It's not Historical

Jews were never slaves in Egypt. There was no Exodus. There was no Moses.

The Flood never happened.

King Herod died 4 years before Jesus would have been born.

David was not a King.

Solomon was not a King and he didn't build a temple.

There were never 12 tribes of Israel. The Jews where Canaanites.

There was no Adam or Eve.

Hebrew originated around the 11 century BC, its not the Original language.

Soo many things that are not historical. Just tales. A people inventing their history.

Got health care for developing countries. Stop child labor in most parts of the world. Improved education and literacy. Developed vaccinations, and health care treatments. Developed a 40 (+/-) hour work week. Significantly reduced infant deaths. Brought democracies around the world. Improved communication, transportation and industrialization. Women's rights, social equity, workplace safety. Better quality of life for most people. Government services, better roads, drinking water, handling of sewage water, retirement plans / social security. Also higher life expectancy. Healthcare. Radio TV Internet. We can fly to other countries in just hours.

What has Jesus done for mankind since he returned invisibly to his thrown in 1914. Apparently he gave us Jehovah's Witnesses, which don't do anything to help their local community. He also made Watchtower rich, not the people, the Corporation. He is now building a movie studio in NY, because that's what Jesus wants. In the 112 years since 1914 Jesus has not been able to get his preaching done through out the world. Paul completed it in his time.

Satan is a far better leader than Watchtowers version of Jesus.

Hebrew all but disappeared by the 2nd century BCE. Jesus didn't speak Hebrew. Jesus and his disciples spoke Aramaic. Long after his death his words were recorded in Greek, first by Paul then the Gospel writers.

The Stories and Apocalyptic visions in the book of Daniel were written in Aramaic, showing they were written at a later time after Hebrew had disappeared.

Insight on the Scriptures/Language:

Up until some point after the global Flood, all mankind “continued to be of one language [literally, “lip”] and of one set of words.” (Ge 11:1) The Bible indicates that the language later called Hebrew was that original “one language.” (See HEBREW, II.) As will be shown, this does not mean that all other languages stemmed from and are related to Hebrew but that Hebrew preceded all other languages.

The Prophet's Bears (2 Kings 2:23-24): God sends bears to kill 42 children for mocking Elisha's baldness.

Actions Considered Immoral or Violent

Child Sacrifice Temptation (Genesis 22): God commands Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac to prove his loyalty.

Encouragement of Cannibalism (Leviticus 26:29): God warns he will cause families to eat their own children as punishment.

Sanctioning Slavery (Exodus 21): God allows the owning of slaves and provides rules for beating them.

Forcing Marriage to a Rapist (Deuteronomy 22): Law that a raped virgin must marry her rapist, after he give her father 50 shekels.

Jephthah’s Daughter (Judges 11): God allows a leader to burn his daughter alive to fulfill a vow.

Dashing Babies (Hosea 13:16): God threatens to kill children as punishment. "Their children will be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women will be ripped open"

David’s Wives (2 Samuel 12:11–12): As punishment for David's sins, God declares he will take David's wives and allow them to be raped. In broad daylight in front of all Israel.

And there is more, I will add to the list, when I have more time. Such a loving god worthy of our worship. This is what woke me up, actually reading the Bible cover to cover.
