Yo PrettyBoy : the good, the bad, the ugly
Here is my personal review an opinion of YoPrettyBoy skincare. I know there are other reviews and questions so I willfully admit this is to get the attention of the founder @drfloops as I know he responds here from time to time.
The good:
The face wash is great and the pump bottle is perfect! One pump is the perfect amount, no waste. I think the face wash is slightly better than the top tier drugstore brands. Ex. cera ve.
This gets five stars from me as a cleanser.
The travel bottle that is included is awesome too! It is a perfect size for travel and one squirt is the perfect amount. Well done here!
The face lotion is good not great. It isn’t as nice and luxurious as say Clarins. I put it on par with Cera ve moisturizer. That would be my closest comp. It is rather expensive compared to Cera ve but still less than Clarins. It doesn’t do anything negative and overall it is good. I just don’t think it is worth the price you pay.
The bad:
The face lotion bottle is heavy opaque plastic. You cannot see or really feel how much product remains in the pump bottle. They need to change this to a translucent bottle similar to Clarins or even their face wash. The 1.7 oz size goes by quick too. No way that is a 30 supply. I feel you need more per application than other brands.
The ugly:
Their customer service is not existent. I left the travel bottle in a hotel and emailed asking to buy another one because it is not listed on their website….which brings me to….their website is very sketchy. It looks like a scam but it is legit. They only sell subscriptions and bundles so it seems but you can buy individual products. Just have to really work for it. Their UX is simply awful. It doesn’t surprise me their sales are low.
Overall:
It is a fine product. But in my opinion it is not worth the hassle of dealing with the crappy website to try to order. They make it difficult for me to give them money. 🚩
