Hey, thinking about finally doing the Perth to Broome drive in a campervan and would love some advice from people who’ve actually done it. When do you reckon is the best time to go? I’m trying to avoid the crazy heat, crowds and bad weather if possible

I was thinking maybe around Aug but not sure if that’s the sweet spot or not. Keen to know how long you’d allow for the trip, any places that are absolute must stops, and anything you wish you knew before you did it
