Hi all. I am traveling internationally for the first time for work later this month, and also in mid-July. I will be in Spain and France. I only have an Amex (EveryDay), Discover (it Miles), and PNC Cashbuilder (Visa) credit card. Neither Amex or Discover are widely accepted in Europe and Amex and PNC have foreign transaction fees, and I only have $500 credit limit on PNC.

I am wondering if should accept a preapproval offer from Fidelity for their 2% Visa card that doesn’t have foreign transaction fees.

BUT, I also want to buy a house this summer. I have not applied for preapproval or mortgages yet but I would need to buy by September if I want to use a homebuyers assistance program.

What do you all suggest?

Current credit score: 815. Income: 145k. No credit card debt, only a $30k student loan, no other debt. Credit limit: ~25,000. Utilization: <1% (paid in full each month)
