Missing Vision for TSW

I love train sims and playing TSW for some years now. What I am missing is the long term vision what this game wants to be. (Beside money grab)
For me TSW currently is not a platform what it should be but just a launcher to start thousands of different train sims. Each „DLC“ feels like an Simulator of its own. Signalling, safety systems, general look, Trains. All this is different in each DLC, even same train on different routes or signalling systems of the same country. Even simple things like the train radio is simulated differently in each UK train. There seems like no common base for all developers what a functions a signalling system, train or a route should have to be released for TSW.

Other simulators like Zusi 3 or Simrail or Flight Simulators have the platform approach and it ensures that the simulator and DLCs are kept together and are a real extensions and not just another simulator within the simulator, which I think is the only right way to do.

I know that these currently focus on just one country (not MSFS) but TSW could also have one platform for each country to ensure the basic functions are always the same.

Will this ever change? Does DTG have a long term vision for their product, like creating a connected world and routes, or will it be just a cash cow for ever?
