Is this cloudiness from strong, peripheral light sources normal?
I recently got a new pair of glasses from my optician. They have some kind of Crizal coating on them (I forget the exact type). I have found that when there is a dominant source of light in my peripheral vision that shines along the plane of my glasses, I get a noticeable fogging effect/cloudiness in the lenses. This is most noticeable on very sunny days if the sun is directly above me. It is also noticeable at night in my house when there is no ambient light coming in from the windows. In this situation I can get the cloudy lenses when I walk under ceiling lights in my house. The lenses are perfectly clear in other situations. Is this normal?
I've included some pictures showing this happening from the sun outside, and from a light fixture in my house at night.
