I have this diamond tie pin…
The “family legend” is that there are only FOUR of these ever made, commissioned by the Israeli Government, and given to 4 American doctors (that also were pilots) as a commemorative of when they ferried fighter jets to Greece (to be given to Israeli pilots) during the 6-day war of 1967. One Doctor, in particular, gifted his to the nurse that had worked for him for 35 years. When this nurse retired, my parents hired her as a nanny when my brother and I were very young.
Subsequently, she gifted ME the tie pin for my Bar Mitzvah in 1977.
Is there any way to prove (or disprove) the provenance of this piece?
