Hi everyone,

Two of my players are playing Monster Hunters in my Icewind Dale Campaign. For the devourer looting monsters for ingredients hasn't been an issue, as it just states that you take a piece of the creature. For the trapper however, we are very confused on how to use Monster Salvage as a component. He is not planning to craft any magic items beyond his class abilities and we are obviously in a standard module without specific Grim Hollow Salvage.

Does anyone know any rulings on how much monster salvage one can get from 1 creature? How much it is worth for the "25 GP worth of Monster Salvage"? Is it by CR? Can it only drop from specific monsters I assign? I assume aquiring it doesn't require any checks, since I can't find anything on the matter of harvesting, but it still implies that there is worth in them and I'm not sure if I should make a table by CR or limit it or whatnot. Like I said this ONLY pertains to the Monster Hunter Trapper Subclass, none of the other Grim Hollow mechanics regarding salvage.
