[QCrit] Adult Fantasy - Eye for an Eye (97k/ First Attempt)

Dear (AGENT),

I am seeking representation for EYE FOR AN EYE, a dark fantasy novel complete at 97,000 words. It is the first in a planned series but can stand alone as needed. It’s a story that takes a gay and inexperienced protagonist like from WHITE TRASH WARLOCK and throws him into a dying world that puts a Fey twist on Greek mythology.

Olliver knows what it's like to lose everything to a monster, and he won’t let it happen again.

He’s still new to the whole monster hunting knight thing, so taking down a cult of cannibals with his abrasive partner should have been a nice break from fang and claw. That is, until the cult’s leader turned out to be an unseelie warlock who laughs at Olliver’s offer of mercy and repays him with a crossbow bolt to the chest.

Injured and alone, Olliver must catch up to his partner and stop the warlock before anyone else gets hurt. His only lead takes him to the drab town of Ithaca. There, he meets the crestfallen town hero Sebastian, and learns that the warlock’s pet prowls the streets at night. After finding his ex-partner stuffed in a closet, Olliver is ready to accept the beast’s jaws around his neck. Sebastian takes up his sword and together they slay the beast. With one monster dead, a spark of hope ignites and they vow to rid Ithaca of the monsters who hide in its shadows.

The warlock bites back with a curse that would turn Ithaca’s men into a crazed army of brutes. To prove himself as a knight and protect his new home, Olliver has to confront the past that the warlock knows a little too much about and learn that the worst monsters are the ones that wear a human’s face.

I am a (Major) who lives in (Location) with (Family). I spend a lot of time playing tabletop RPGs with my friends and I wanted to take a crack at turning the extensive worlds I’ve built into stories.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

(Name)

Note: I'm still deciding on a second comp title so if anyone has a recommendation based on what they see let me know. Thank you for any advice.

As the title says. I'm writing a book that matches that description and I'd like to find some possible comp titles. I'd prefer for the books to be dark fantasy set in a fantasy world and have a lgbt protagonist who is a bit younger/less experienced than Geralt. There doesn't need to be romance and it doesn't need to be part of a series. I'd prefer a gay male protagonist, but it isn't needed. Recently I've read and enjoyed "The Red Winter" and "White Trash Warlock" which fit the kind of vibe I'm looking for but they're both set in the real world, so I'd like to find something similar in a fantasy setting. Thanks for any help.
