I’d like to start out slow, maybe hit a few karaoke spots on the weekend and see if I even still have the vocal capacity. It’s been a few years… But I would appreciate some suggestions to get back used to singing in front of people and then I’d like to begin putting a band together.

TIA ☺️

I was just thinking about the wild ascension I had this morning and figured I’d share, see if anyone else had similar experience and how they handled it…

2012-2019: various traveling CMT roles
2020: laid off (covid)
2021: senior tech
2022: specialty tech
2022: field supervisor
2023: field supervisor
2024: assistant pm
2025: project manager
2026: department manager
2027: projected branch manager

In a span of basically 4 years I went from just another field tech to running a satellite office with now multiple engineers under me. Now they’re telling me this is my office. It’s humbling, terrifying, and I’m swinging so far above my weight class I have no idea how I’m surviving.

Anyone else jump this fast? How did you handle it? I’m really just trying to “be the boss I wish I had” but man it’s a lot…

6.8 miles from Eastlake to Zaragoza

630: cruise control, 13 minutes, 21 mpg, good vibes and good music, sunrise Mountain Views

730: stop and go, 28 minutes, 13 mpg, possible aneurism, Altima going 10 under in the fast lane with either NM or CH plates completely oblivious to what’s going on around them, F150 going 20 over in the slow lane that’s definitely going to cut everybody off in 0.3 miles.

Honestly it’s impressive there aren’t more accidents here…
