Hey everyone,

I’ve been going back and forth on this and wanted to hear some real experiences.

Do blog posts on your own site still move the needle for SEO in 2026? I’m not talking about pumping out generic “10 tips” content, but actually putting time into articles. I keep hearing mixed things — some people say blogs are still one of the best ways to rank, others say Google is way more focused on authority, product pages, and brand signals now.

If blogs do help, what kind of posts are actually worth writing?

  • Long guides targeting specific keywords?
  • Answer-style content (like things people would search or even ask tools like ChatGPT)?
  • Case studies or real experiences?
  • Or more opinion-based / thought leadership stuff?

Also curious about frequency — is it better to post consistently (like weekly), or just publish when you have something genuinely useful?

And one more thing: do you internally link blog posts to your main pages aggressively, or keep it more natural?

Would love to hear what’s actually working for you right now (especially in competitive niches).

Thanks 🙏

I’ve been trying to put more effort into AEO lately (getting picked up by ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.), but I’m still not fully convinced where it’s actually worth spending time.

My experience so far:

Reddit → feels pretty pointless. Every time I try to contribute properly and even lightly mention a company, it gets removed or flagged. I get why, but from a “building signals” perspective it’s been a dead end for me.

Quora → surprisingly decent. If you write a solid answer, you can include references naturally and it sticks.

Medium→ smaller, but I’ve had some good visibility there.

I’m wondering what I’m missing.

Are people using:

  • specific niche forums?
  • directories that actually get picked up by AI models?
  • communities where you can mention companies without getting nuked?

Or is everyone just focusing on their own sites + PR and calling it a day?

Curious what’s actually working for others right now.
