I'm starting to worry that my turtle hasn't laid eggs in a long time. It's a red-eared slider. She made her first clutch on December 18, 2025. Since then she hasn't entered the tray with substrate again. After the laying, I'm still giving her enough calcium. Natural chalk, shells, cuttlebone.

I'd also like to know more about turtle egg-laying. My turtle lives together with a male named Marik. And he was always on land with Frosha, whom he laid eggs with. Only when she went to the water did he also go into the water. Is that normal or did he want to eat the eggs? I left the eggs for a day and nobody ate them. I don't know if it's normal that she sat there and laid eggs for 4 hours? I put her in the water, I thought she was very tired. She didn't bury the last 2 eggs. Maybe she has problems with oviposition because of her old life that I don't know about? She's pretty big, I've had her for only two years and she grew from 9 cm to 20 cm across the shell. The boy grew from 6 cm to 12. Honestly I don't know how old they are. My friends also had a red-eared slider somewhere around five years ago then she escaped but she was smaller than the boy

I just want to hear an opinion. Is it normal that so much time has passed? If you think it's not normal, I'll go to a vet. I also want to note that she doesn't seem like she's planning to lay eggs yet. For a month before the last clutch she was acting wild. Now she's behaving calmly

I came across an ad on Avito about this turtle. At first it seemed to me: well, maybe she was placed in this glass empty aquarium for the photo? No, she lives there. I noticed that she has problems with her shell, paws, nails and beak

This lady set a price for a turtle together with a terrarium like $100. Well, in general, in my country they usually buy a healthy turtle for such a price. It is unlikely that proper care will save the whole situation here. It looks like an apple in the photo. It seemed to me that land turtles should not be given a lot of apples. Well, I need advice whether to try to pick her up and treat her. I don’t have much money and I don’t know how much her treatment will cost. Well, I just need advice, I feel sorry for the turtle. Maybe I’m saying something wrong. I only have water turtles, I think I’m good at them. Well, it doesn’t prevent me from understanding the land

Update: I don't know, maybe I should try posting this video on TikTok to somehow raise donations? (from Russians) I know you can't help me because you're prohibited from transferring money to my country. Although, I'm not entirely sure anyone will see this video.

Of course, not much time has passed, and it is clear why no one has answered me yet in the animal aid fund. But I’m not sure about him. And I’m not sure if anyone will help me there. Maybe some video will help attract people

I got an answer in the funds. Unfortunately, the news is not joyful. Even if you can buy it. You can’t raise so much money for treatment. It’s too expensive. Reptiles are not so common here. So their treatment is much more expensive
