Possible surgery?

I’ve been through the ringer with my cycle ever since it started 20 years ago. There was something always wrong— whether it be pain, missing periods (2 years), excessive bleeding, 2 periods a month, etc.
Ultrasounds always came back normal and I was kind of pushed to the side. This past January, I had unbearable pains come back. To the point where I’m missing work and unable to do daily activities. I had an ultrasound done in February and they found a 4cm complex cyst on my left ovary, which happened to be the side where I had the most pain. My new doctor agreed to do surgery in June to possibly remove the cyst. She mentioned it could have been a “chocolate cyst.”
I ended up in the ER last week due to pain and some bowel movement issues (tmi… but my bowel movement got stuck… this has happened twice now, both times on my period. I don’t usually have issues with constipation). The ultrasound report didn’t mention a cyst, but did find a small 1.4cm uterine fibroid. I went to follow-up with my doctor today and she said with there being no cyst on the ultrasound, surgery may no longer be beneficial because she may not find anything. She said she wouldn’t mind doing surgery, but it’s up to me and I need to consider the risks.

Would you still do the surgery? I’ve done enough research to know surgery is the only way to definitively diagnose endo… but with my cyst possibly having ruptured, could they still find signs of endo?
