▲ 6 r/HPV

Hi everyone,

In 2024, I was diagnosed with HPV type 66.(f36) At the time, I was convinced I had only just contracted it that year, because all my previous Pap smears had been completely normal. However, I had never actually been tested specifically for HPV before.

The diagnosis came as a surprise. I had been feeling unwell for months — I had a persistent low-grade fever for about six months and couldn’t understand why. I went through many medical checks, including gynecological exams, trying to find the cause. Eventually, during routine screening in France, doctors discovered that I had a high-risk HPV type (though they didn’t specify which one at the time), along with cervical changes (LSIL).

Later that summer, I traveled to Ukraine and did a more detailed test. That’s when I found out it was HPV type 66, with a high viral load (around 6.5). By then, it had already been about six months since my initial diagnosis in France — and at that point, there were no longer any LSIL cervical changes detected.

Of course, I was terrified at first. But instead of giving up, I started looking for ways to support my body. I’m an artist, and my work often involves late nights, which made it hard to maintain a proper sleep routine — but I did my best to improve it. I also worked on reducing stress, which had been significant in my life, and I quit smoking completely. I also stopped drinking alcohol for about six months, although later I occasionally allowed myself a drink.

It also happened that for almost a full year after my diagnosis, I was celibate — I didn’t have sex during that time. I don’t know whether this had an impact, but I wanted to mention it as part of my experience.

I took a comprehensive approach to supporting my health. I started taking AHCC (3 grams daily) consistently for six months without missing doses. Alongside that, I took:

\- Vitamin B12 (1 mg)

\- Folic acid (400 mcg)

\- Vitamin D (liquid form)

\- Vitamin C

\- Selenium

\- Zinc

\- Vitamin K2 MK-7

\- Omega-3

\- Hyaluronic acid (oral supplements)

\- Magnesium (taken at night)

In addition, for about three months, I regularly took a probiotic at night containing Lactobacillus crispatus (around 20 billion CFU).

I also used Papilocare: I took the tablets for about four months and used the vaginal gel (or suppositories) consistently for about six months.

At the beginning, I also periodically used courses of Epigen Spray, and I bought an intimate gel from the same brand while I was in Ukraine.

Later, I added green tea extract (EGCG), which I took for three months, and after that, I took curcumin for another three months.

While I was in Ukraine, I also did a wide range of tests, since I was actively looking for the cause of my overall condition. I even checked my immunogram — and at that time, despite having HPV, my immune system indicators were completely normal. So there was no clear evidence that my immunity was weakened, which makes this experience even more complex and individual.

A few days ago, I received my follow-up test results — one year later. Both my HPV test and cytology came back negative.

I am incredibly happy. Honestly, “happy” doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. This took a lot of effort, discipline, and emotional strength. I truly believe that quitting smoking played a huge role. As for supplements and treatments, it’s hard to say exactly what made the biggest difference, but I personally feel that Papilocare may have been especially helpful.

Most importantly, I want to say: trust your body, don’t lose hope, and take care of yourself.

One more thing — vaccination. I haven’t done it yet, but I’ve already asked my doctor for a prescription. I’m planning to get the Gardasil 9 vaccine soon.

Take care 🤍
