Advice on varying height over shot line
Advice sought, perhaps a dumb question. Apologies in advance as appropriate.
I've been struggling on two different but related shots. Working on drills for both; doesn't really matter what they are, but in general they're long cuts into a distant corner pocket.
And I might be kidding myself, but my reliability seems to improve if I'm crouched higher over the shot than usual. I'm bent over the shot line, but my chin isn't down on the stick like I am for other, shorter-distance shots. Additional data: APA SL5, am 50+ yrs old, and the 20/20 vision I've had my whole life probably isn't anymore.
I suspect the "correct" position is simply the one that's most reliable most of the time, and I just have to find it and practice there. But does anyone else vary their height over the shot line depending on distance, or did you work out down to a single, best height?
