My current boss at work doesn't seem to bother about this, neither does my colleagues.

I recently went for a job interview and the interviewer (hiring manager with a PhD) doesn't seem to think much about this aspect either and says some testing we do not need to bother about it. Just go ahead and select the samples.

Would like to get your views on this, thanks.
