I’m honestly getting pretty desperate at this point and wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat or has had any luck recently.

I’ve been applying consistently for entry level roles, mainly labour/logistics/warehouse-type jobs. I even went and got my forklift certification to improve my chances, but now I’m stuck in that loop where every forklift job seems to require prior experience… which I obviously can’t get without someone giving me a chance first.

It’s getting frustrating because I’m willing to do the work, show up on time, learn fast, and take anything to get started but even the most basic roles feel hard to break into right now.

Has anyone here recently managed to land an entry-level job (especially in Auckland/logistics/warehousing)? If yes, what worked for you?

  • Did you go through agencies?
  • Walk-ins?
  • Referrals?
  • Anything specific that helped you stand out?

At this point I’m open to any advice or even just hearing how others are navigating this. Feels like I’m doing everything right but still not getting through.

Appreciate any help.
