Hermès may have just released the prettiest color of 2026, and I’m trying to decide if I love it or if it’s too sweet.

I usually gravitate toward neutrals.

Gold, etoupe, black, craie… the colors I know I’ll still love ten years from now.

Then I saw this new 2026 shade: X0, a soft cotton-candy purple.

And now I can’t stop thinking about it.

It’s pale, powdery, and just muted enough to avoid looking childish.

Depending on the light, it shifts between lavender, blush, and the faintest hint of gray.

Part of me thinks it’s one of the prettiest colors Hermès has released in years.

The other part of me wonders whether I’d still love it once the novelty wears off.

That said, seeing it on smaller bags and accessories makes it incredibly tempting.

It feels playful, but still elegant.

Fresh, but not loud.

So now I’m curious:

Is this the kind of color you’d actually wear, or is it the sort of shade you admire from afar?

My best friend knows my taste better than I do.

My best friend gave me this bag for my birthday.

At first, I thought it was a little too simple.

No bold color, no flashy details, nothing that immediately grabs attention.

But that’s exactly why she chose it.

She said, “You always fall hardest for the pieces that quietly work with everything.”

I was standing in line yesterday when the SA brought out this tiny pastel pink vanity bag for another customer.

The woman had been looking at classic neutral bags the entire time. Black, beige, dark brown… very serious choices.

Then this little pink bag came out almost as a joke.

And I swear her entire personality changed for like five minutes 😂

She immediately smiled, grabbed it with both hands, and kept saying:

“Okay wait… why is this actually SO cute?”

The funniest part was watching her try to convince herself not to like it.

“It’s impractical.”

“I’d never use this.”

“It doesn’t fit anything.”

Meanwhile she literally wouldn’t put it down.

Honestly that’s probably the most dangerous kind of bag — the one you don’t plan on loving at all.

We’re not officially together, which is probably why this feels so confusing.

We talk a lot.

Go out together sometimes.

He remembers random little things I mention without thinking.

But every time I feel like I understand the situation, the energy changes again.

Then last week he gave me this bag.

No birthday.

No holiday.

Nothing dramatic.

Just:

“Saw this and thought you’d like it.”

And somehow that messed with my head way more than some big romantic speech would have 😭

Because now every time I look at it, I keep wondering if I’m reading too much into something simple.

The annoying part is… it’s completely my style too.

Clean, understated, easy with everything.

So now I genuinely can’t tell if:

• he notices more than I thought or I seriously need to relax 😂 Still thinking about it though.
