State Testing

I'm a building sub at a high school and we start a week and a half of mandatory statewide testing. It will take a few hours each day and the grades not testing don't come in until they have to.

What do other building subs do during this time to kill time? They won't need me to proctor and put us in the cafeteria until testing is done. So, what do you do while killing time?

Last year, a few teachers stayed in a lounge, but it was converted into a classroom over last summer because we're bursting at the seems.

Tomorrow, I'll probably bring some cards.

These are from my community garden plot last year. They've been through a lot. The township pulled them up 5 years ago when they said that they'd leave the plots for us to handle.

A woman took them from the trash, knowing how they got there and didn't offer them back to me. She only told me two years later when she was moving away. She'd kept them in a bucket the whole time!

The two plants are covered with leaves now and I'm looking forward to making jelly this summer.
