Recently Listened to Every Bjork Song

Every single one lol including the B Sides haha. My favorite actually has to be the cover of Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday at the Alexander McQueen funeral. Something about the acoustics there and her voice ....I just melted.

As for what I thought as a whole, I read a post once that said Bjork's music will either change you or do nothing. It definitely did the former. Specifically in my outlook towards creating my own music. There's a freedom and a confidence that Bjork has in her diverse creative mind that inspires me to not be afraid of public expectation and of following conventional music theory.

There's almost a piece when you listen to her music. Even in the crazy Volta era. There's a beauty in every single song that she creates like she is, as I believe I am, a vessel to transmit music and she owns it.

I also had the pleasure of watching her perform in Dancer in the Dark and, apart from pretty much the entire movie being a little flat, her performance and her story was stellar.

Anyway just wanted to share this and am happy to share more insights if anyone has any questions about stuff. Love you guys and hope you follow your dreams no matter what they are.

in case anyone wants it too, I made a chronological playlist of her music

Looking for Your Favorite International Foods!!!!

Hey all! I'm getting back into my heritage and cooking a whole bunch of new dishes! I've done a lot of American in the past, obviously, and a whole bunch of pastries and desserts (my favorites). Below is a list of international or specialty dishes I have made but would love recommendations from you guys. Anything from Mediterranean to Thai to Indian to French to Brazilian! Whatever you love! Thanks again in advance and happy cooking to you!

Also I'm from Texas so anything International is just really anything outside the United States.

International/specialty dishes I've made:

Chicken Menudo

Wassail

Blarney Stones

Italian Pasta Sauce (passed down through my family over 5 generations)

Carrot Cake

Lemon Tarts with a chiffon

Crawfish Etoufee
