With TOTS out, many midfielders, attackers have a variety of playstyles that make them good.

With CB’s, most are now 88+ pace (quickstep) with pinged pass, all defensive playstyles (and +) with 90s defending and physical.

So while mids and attackers can have more variety or playstyles that suit the way you play, what actually differs defenders now? The cheap to the elite?

We all need the same playstyles and stats to defend, unlike attacking, so does it actually matter who your CBs are at this stage of the game when their sole purpose is to defend.

Let me know your thoughts or why you think the elite are so expensive to say Simikan or Jacobo Ramon, for example?
