Rear bumper damage advice
I got rear ended a couple weeks ago and the driver wanted to settle without going through insurance. Seeing that it was a minor knock and we agreed on an amount and went our separate ways. I went around and got initial quotes and am able to cover the fix with the cash given.
My question is, is this something that I’d be able to knock out myself back into shape and reattach the bumper? It is a 2017 Corolla XLE with 150k miles on it. I plan on driving it till the wheels fall off, and with how little damage there is, I’m thinking to even just let it be.
What is the general consensus here on this damage as seen in the photo? Leave it as is? try to fix it? Take it in to get fixed? For reference, the only work I have done on my car is I change my oil and headlights.
