I am thinking about adopting a cat, but I had questions about whether I should or shouldn’t. I have a two year old male cat (up to date on shots and is neutered) and I work an overnight job, meaning he’s home alone a lot. When I’m home during the day, I can’t really play with him for a long time because I have to sleep for work the following night. He has playful aggression going on right now (which has gotten me scratched pretty bad multiple times) because I can’t give him as much attention as I’d like to.
I was wondering if I should get a second cat so they can keep each other company, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. Do I get another male cat or will I have to worry about him being territorial? Do I get a female cat, and if so, what does that entail? I just have so many questions about the best way to go about it is.
