Jean Paul Salon in Steyvesent Plaza FYI

So on the recommendation of someone in this sub I went to Jean Paul for a haircut and I was told that the hair stylist “doesn’t do pixie cuts.” I’m actually really annoyed because I was really looking forward to getting a haircut but I thought I would let others know that there are stylists at Jean Paul who, apparently, can’t cut hair and it makes me wary of ever doing business with them. (Why would you hire a person who can’t do a haircut?)
EDITED TO ADD: After she told me that she couldn’t do my hair I asked for someone who could and the other stylist also said she couldn’t do it.

Ok, so Cassie and Maddie had the whole situation with that influencer guy planned in advance? Or it just happened to work out really really well in terms of timing? And when Cassie was talking to the other influencer girl, she said Maddie was her manager and then it seemed like the other girl was going to say something about it but the scene cut away. I’m just confused by the whole thing because Maddie seemed kind of pissed on the way home/during the party, like Cassie wasn’t doing things right. Help a girl out!

It’s been a really long time since I’ve gotten a “real” haircut and it’s time for a change. Before the inevitable comment: I know I can easily google salons in Albany, but I would like to hear others experiences. Plus there are a lot of salons in the area and hearing someone’s experience makes it easier to narrow down the list. Bonus if they are neurodivergent friendly but not a necessity. I’m planning on going short so if you know of any local stylist who specialize in short styles that would definitely be a plus. Anywhere in the Capital Region is fine, I’m not chained to Albany. Thank you in advance!

On the advice of some people on this lovely subreddit, I started taking CoQ-10 on Monday and uh question, did anyone else get terrible anxiety?? I already have an anxiety disorder but these past few days have been absolutely awful! I’m going to hold it for now and see if things improve, but am I the only one that this has happened to? This is awful!

Compared to people without a disability, people with IDD often have very small social networks. Sometimes a person’s entire network might consist only of close family members, other people with IDD and paid support staff. Best Buddies is the largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

I have been volunteering with Best Buddies for over a year now and it’s been such an enriching experience! My Best Buddy even managed to get me on some of the roller coasters at The Great Escape! There are a lot of individuals who have already applied to join, however, without volunteers, people are waiting a very long time for buddies. If you have any questions/comments, please ask! So many adults with IDD are left with limited opportunities to participate meaningfully in community life and we all know what a lack of everyday interaction, meaningful engagement and community inclusion can do to an individual!

I don’t spend a ton time in Clifton Park but I have a new job and I’m in the office a few days a week. Any recommendations for non-chain food? Don’t get me wrong. I love the occasional Panera but I’m curious what else you got for me!
