I got the achievement today in an easier way than following the hoop and I thought it might help someone :P

The tip is: Go inside a small cave and position the goal near the wall, it will stay still making the process much easier, and have many slimes with you so that you don't have to keep retrieving the ones that were thrown.

I remember Slime Rancher 1, the basketball achievement gave me a lot of trouble, until I saw a tip to throw the slimes from above where the basket was :D
