been looking at self cleaning litter boxes for a while now and the litter robot keeps coming up but the price is just hard to justify when i'm not even sure how much i'll actually use the automatic features. started looking at what else is available and there are so many options in the mid range that i genuinely can't tell which ones are worth it and which ones are going to fall apart after a few months.

odor control and ease of cleaning are the two things i care the most because those are the main reasons i want to upgrade from a standard box in the first place. anyone here found something that delivers on both without spending way too much? would love to know what people actually ended up with and whether it was worth it.
