I thought I was owed a tax refund for the tax year 24/25 and wrote a letter to the HMRC but it got rejected stating I paid the correct tax. I was on the 1288L (I was working from home at the time so had the tax rebate) tax code that year, but I do not believe it has factored in my employee pension contributions which to my knowledge should be pre-tax and based on my calculations I believe I overpaid my tax then. I am aware the dental salary sacrifice/deductions are not pre-tax so I know they do not factor in.
I am wondering if this year based on my tax code 1206L (I had to pay back a ~£100 underpayment from the leap year tax year), if I am working it out right that I should be owed ~£150 refund for the 25/26 tax year. I've attached the last payslip of each tax year and the P60 (with private info blocked off).
I'm hourly employed on 40hrs PW with sickpay as normal hourly pay but some days over the year I've had early unpaid finishes. I know all bonuses/delivery incentives have all been tax dedicable.
